1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and mAIb Tech LLC ("mAIb Tech", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of AI4AI — Academic Institute For Artificial Intelligence (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. The Service
The Service is an educational and community platform offering AI courses, reference documentation, shared prompt libraries, certificates, and a multi-model "Playground" that sends your prompts to third-party AI providers to generate responses. The Service is provided for learning and professional use. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may set or adjust usage limits (such as the number of free Playground runs per day).
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You may browse some content as a guest; to save progress, publish content, or subscribe, you must create an account through our authentication provider, Supabase. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your login. Notify us at support@maib.io of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, you agree not to: break the law; attempt to bypass usage limits, metering, billing, authentication, or access controls; probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission; submit or generate content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or that violates the policies of the underlying AI providers; scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service; or use the Service to build a competing product. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. AI-Generated Content and No Professional Advice
Outputs produced by AI models are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or offensive. They do not reflect the views of mAIb Tech LLC and are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to rely on any output. When you use the Playground or a lesson's live runs, your prompt is transmitted to a third-party model provider (see our Privacy Policy) and is subject to that provider's terms and acceptable-use policies.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the prompts, posts, comments, and other materials you submit ("User Content"). By publishing User Content to public areas of the Service (for example, sharing a prompt to the Vault or posting to the community), you grant mAIb Tech LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute that User Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service, including making it available to other users to view, copy, and fork. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights. You may delete your User Content; copies that other users have already forked or saved may persist independently.
7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
Premium plans are offered on a recurring subscription basis — US$12.99 per month or US$99.00 per year — billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorize us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically; you may cancel at any time and will keep Premium access through the end of the current paid period. Prices may change on a going-forward basis with prior notice. Except where required by applicable law, all charges are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; Stripe processes them under its own terms and PCI-DSS compliance.
8. Free Tier and Fair Use
The free tier includes a daily allowance of Playground runs on standard models and access to core courses and community features. These limits are enforced server-side. Automated, abusive, or excessive use, or any attempt to circumvent the limits or metering, is prohibited and may result in throttling, suspension, or termination.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its software, design, user interface, course materials, documentation, and the "AI4AI" and "mAIb Tech" names and logos — is owned by mAIb Tech LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Third-party model names, logos, and trademarks referenced in the Service belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and educational purposes only; their inclusion does not imply endorsement.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties, including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), and AI model providers reached via Anthropic and OpenRouter. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of features that depend on them may be subject to those providers' own terms. A current list of our sub-processors is in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, mAIb Tech LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless mAIb Tech LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive — including ownership, User Content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the Service or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date below reflects the current version. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration will be the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and you and mAIb Tech LLC consent to their personal jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.
